Black And White

Double Songs

Work
The traditional Baa! Baa! Black Sheep has been altered to act as a counter-melody to the children's song Mary Had A Little Lamb producing what we call Black And White.

Lyrics

Performance
Always start by establishing the Footsies at Level 0.
In this case, both songs are at the same level and will start on L(eft foot),
0+2for Baa! Baa! Black Sheep and 0+4 for Mary Had A Little Lamb.
Beat R, L, R before you start singing.
Sing Mary Had A Little Lamb followed by Baa! Baa! Black Sheep and make a loop of the 2 songs,
                   leaving no "space" between them.
The children, in unison, will gradually join you.
Then you divide the participants in 2 equal groups,
start the first group singing Mary Had A Little Lamb, and when they reach Baa! Baa! Black Sheep,
start the second group singing Mary Had A Little Lamb.
This produces the polyphony of the 2 simultaneous songs,
and the loops in both groups allow you to keep it going as long as required.
