Extra-Long Promenades

Rhythm
These extra-long promenades have a 24-note grouping,
with two small binary levels, a medium ternary level (in 3/2), and one large binary level,
cover a span of 3 octaves and 2 tones,
and are considerably more difficult.

Harmony
A chromatic swing (as we had in Small Promenades 1b, 2b, 3b),
has been added at the beginning (the bottom)
and in the middle (the top) of the Long Promenade,
with still more room, producing the chord pattern
C, Fm / C, G, Dm / Am, E / Am, Dm, G / (C).

Extra Long Promenade 1

We are in the key of C to remain centered on middle D.
     Only the extremities are different,
the rest is like the Long Promenade.

The very first note can be fingered d2 (instead of d4),
otherwise, the thumbs are on Bb (b1), then F and B (a1) three times,
          F# (b1), and again on B and F (a1) three times.

Extra Long Promenade 2

The chords
In the right hand, the TONIC chord C (played each time),
is followed by the chromatic DOMINANT Fm,
which returns to the TONIC chord C.
In the left hand, we now have the minor ANTE-1 G (only the B),
followed by the minor DOMINANT Dm (as in the long promenade),
then the inversion of the major beginning (Am, E, Am), and
in the right hand, the modulation back to the relative major (Dm, G),
returning (or ending) on the major TONIC C.

The scale fingerings are the same as in the preceding promenade.
The chord fingerings are the same in both hands -
     for the chromatic swing, bid2c4, b1e3d5 / bid2c4
then, in the other hand, the ANTE-1 chord, (only B or F) with c4,
followed by the DOMINANT chord, with a1d2c5,
and the TONIC chord, with b1d2c4.

Extra Long Promenade 3

The first player has the scale in octaves,
and the second player has the chords in both hands.
We are in the key of F# to remain centered on middle D.
