Now that we have seen the nature of the structures of all the Arts, we will start
to examine, and place in the Yin or Yang columns, the various elements of Music itself,
always remembering that, even if the Arts are YIN (%25%) compared to Science (%75%), the structure of Music (Muzikeco, composed of Rhythm, Harmony, and Melody) is quite YANG (%40-45%) compared to the other Arts, as previously seen. Performance and Muzikeco
These 2 Faces of Music, Muzikeco and Performance, represent an extension of theoriginal definition of Music. This symbiosis of the YANG (%45%) structure of Music and the YIN (%40%) nature of
its works and performances will enable humanity to use the Knowledge of Music's structure
as a precious partner to its Intuition, without hindering or neglecting it in the
least. The symbiotic coexistence of Intuition and Knowledge will eventually lead us
to the Praise of Intuition as the supreme court of judgment.
Only plays, Dance, and Music require performance, but occasional poetry readings
should also be included, and a few %% points should be removed for the performance
of a written work, on account of the YIN of its interpretation.
YIN-YANG distribution within Music
From YIN to YANG, the order would be -
first, Performance, the most intuitive and the least restricted, the most YIN
(%38%),
second, the works, also intuitive but more restricted (%40%),
third, the operation of composition, submited to the rigors of Muzikeco,
either intuitively and tentatively, or more securely with the help of Muzikeco
(%42%),
and fourth, Muzikeco itself, the most YANG (%45%) part of Music.
Qualitative and Quantitative Dimensions
We are here within the Performance (%38%) and Muzikeco (%45%) range, and the YIN-YANG
distinction will also be fine.
The YIN and YANG of Dimensions
The3 Worlds of Music(Time, Pitch, and Energy) are not of the same nature -
Time and Pitch are the fundamental Worlds of Muzikeco, and thus YANG (%45%),
and
Energy is a fundamental World of Performance, and thus YIN (%38%).
In each World,we find both a Quantitative (YIN) and a Qualitative (YANG) Dimension.
In the World of Time (itself YANG %45%), we have -
the Quantitative Dimension of Duration (YIN %43%), an important element of Performance,
and
the Qualitative Dimension of Alternation (YANG %47%), an important element of
Muzikeco.
In the World of Pitch (itself YANG), we have -
the Quantitative Dimension of Frequency (YIN %43%), an important element of Performance,
and
the Qualitative Dimension of Chrominicism (YANG %47%), an important element of
Muzikeco.
In the World of Energy (itself YIN %38%), we have
the Quantitative Dimension of Volume (YIN %36%), an important element of Performance,
and
the Qualitative Dimension of Timbre (seemingly YANG (%40%)
but evidently YIN within the World of Energy),
indicated (+ Timbre) in the YIN column and (- Timbre) in the YANG column.
In summary,
the 3 Quantitative Dimensions are in Face 1 with the YIN, and
the 3 Qualitative Dimensions are (technically) in Face 2 with the YANG,
with Timbre shifted to the YIN of Energy.
The 2 important Dimensions ofMuzikeco,AlternationandChrominicism,
were the last to be discovered.
The other arts
It is interesting to note that -
Fine Arts do not use the World of Time.
All performances use both Time and Space.
Fundamentally, Dance uses Time and Space, while Music uses Time and Pitch.
