Tunes4Two
Work Two children form an arch by raising their arms above their heads to make a bridge for the other children to pass under. These two children secretly decide which one represents silver and which one gold. The other children now pass under the bridge formed by their arms.At the word "My Fair Lady", the bridge falls. The child who is caught is asked which he prefers "gold or silver". This child takes its place behind the one who represents its choice and the game continues until all have been chosen. When all the children have been caught under the bridge, a tug-of-war between gold and silver ends the game. (Songs For Children, page 117) Lyrics
